
YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development and definition of global design guidelines for subsystems of exhaust aftertreatment systems (incl. metal components, catalytic converters, particulate filters, process equipment and control algorithms)
- Definition of technical requirements for new functions and systems
- Technical support in development projects and technical advice for internal departments (quality, sales, project management, service)
- Planning, implementation and documentation of multi-day emission measurement campaigns for system validation directly at the customer's premises
- Development of innovative measurement and control strategies
- Technical supervision of students during internships and final thesis
- Presentation of new developments at international conferences and in academic journals
YOUR PROFILE
- Successfully completed engineering degree in the field of mechanical engineering, process engineering, electrical engineering or similar
- Several years of professional experience as a development engineer, ideally in exhaust gas aftertreatment
- Good knowledge in the areas of fluid dynamics, process technology, fault analysis, test planning and execution
- Experience with exhaust gas aftertreatment systems
- Confident in handling complex, interdisciplinary technical issues
- Business fluent in written and spoken English; ideally good knowledge of German
- Structured, methodical and precise way of working
- Strong customer focus, ability to work in a team and target-orientation
- Assertiveness and ability to find feasible compromises
- Willingness to travel worldwide (approx. 15%)
Additional requirements (not a must):
- Experience in modelling, simulation and analysis of exhaust aftertreatment systems with GT-SUITE is a plus
- Knowledge of CFD analysis using STAR-CCM+, in particular for the optimisation of flow-guiding metal structures and model calibration (e.g. spray and SCR models) is an advantage
