YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Manage Hug purchasing activities - direct and indirect materials for assigned commodities / place and monitor project or warehouse purchase orders through the ERP system
  • Negotiate with suppliers, manage production slots and act as solid business partner with key stakeholders
  • Assure required quality, on time deliveries and cost performance for project purchases
  • Review and approve supplier invoices
  • Responsible for supplier management and development of supplier panel (identify, benchmark, develop, maintain)
  • Run RFIs and RFQs and prepare cost analysis and benchmarks
  • Manage supplier and product data accuracy in ERP system
  • Act as supplier key account manager and perform contract negotiations with category suppliers incl. annual agreements, price lists and payment terms
  • Monitor supplier performance KPIs (productivity, payment term, lead times, OTD and supplier quality)
  • Manage supplier claims together with the Quality team


YOUR PROFILE:

  • Technical background and commercial education / Purchasing-specific education (cert. Buyer or comparable)
  • 3-5 years experience in Purchasing in an industrial environment
  • Experience in international strategic and operative purchasing and conducting supplier development and negotiations
  • Very Good command of German and English
  • MS Office skills / industrial ERP experience
  • Good communication skills and result oriented
  • Good planning and problem-solving skills
  • Open mindset and multi-cultural sensitivity
  • Team player approach
