YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and maintain Hug Engineering product certificates, by preparing and submitting the required documentation
  • Act as project manager for various certification activities, on project-specific base
  • Serve as point of contact with regulatory bodies and classification societies
  • Maintain regulatory and rule requirements up to date, including organizing and updating databases and preparing supporting files
  • Support the department with administrative tasks as needed

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Successfully completed degree in engineering, preferably Mechanical, Systems or another field related to engine technology
  • Experience applying regulations to product development processes
  • Good command of spoken and written English
  • Ability to collaborate with technical experts and translate regulatory requirements into product specifications
  • Competence in managing projects autonomously
  • Capability to interact professionally with regulatory bodies and classification societies
  • Ability to maintain and organize regulatory documentation, databases and rule sets
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Effective communication skills across multidisciplinary teams

Additional highly-evaluated qualifications:

  • Knowledge of internal combustion engines and exhaust gas purification systems 
  • Knowledge of the marine industry and class societies 
  • Familiarity with IMO regulations and product conformity
