Cleaner operation, designed around the yacht

Emission control needs to earn its place in a yacht's design. Compliance, exhaust routing, backpressure and service access all need attention, alongside the comfort and appearance owners expect.

Hug Engineering's yacht emission control solutions bring SCR, DPF and silencing technologies together to address these requirements. SCR supports IMO Tier III NOx compliance, while a diesel particulate filter reduces soot and black carbon. Integrated silencing options help reduce exhaust noise and support quieter operation.

Our Combined Solution pairs SCR with an actively regenerated DPF for propulsion engines and diesel gensets. Its DPF reduces black-carbon emissions by more than 98%, helping keep decks cleaner and reduce soot around the yacht. Flexible integration and very low backpressure help accommodate the vessel's layout while limiting the impact on fuel efficiency.

For yachts below 500 GT, Compact SCR offers a compact approach to IMO Tier III emission control. Flexible external piping, several outlet positions and customised options give engineering teams more freedom when working within a demanding engine-room layout.
