Production Tour for New Hug Employees

Global Training Days at Hug Engineering: A Strong Start for New Employees

About us

At Hug Engineering, we believe that a well-prepared team is the key to success. As we continue to grow and expand our business, ensuring that our new employees are equipped with the right knowledge and skills is more important than ever. That’s why we recently hosted our Global Training Days at our headquarters in Elsau, welcoming new colleagues from all our subsidiaries for an immersive two-day learning experience.

This initiative was designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to Hug Engineering’s operations, products, and corporate culture, while also fostering connections among employees from different locations.

A Deep Dive into Hug Engineering

The training kicked off with a warm welcome and a general introduction by Vukan Kusovac, setting the stage for what new hires could expect on their journey with Hug Engineering. This session laid out our company’s mission, vision, and core values, ensuring that all participants had a strong foundation to build upon.

Learning Hug ways

After a short break, the group dived into the order & material flow, logistics, and production process, led by Christophe Montandon. This was followed by an engaging factory tour, where participants got a first-hand look at how our cutting-edge exhaust aftertreatment solutions are designed and manufactured. Witnessing the production process up close helped bring theoretical knowledge to life.

The afternoon was dedicated to segment       presentations with Peter Zijdemans, providing deeper insights into Hug Engineering’s different business areas and customer solutions. The first day wrapped up with a session on Aftersales, led by Beat Brändli, where participants learned about the importance of customer service, maintenance, and long-term support for our products.

Technical Deep Dive on Day Two

The second day was all about technical expertise. The morning session, led by Daniel Peitz and Enno Esser, focused on the basics of R&D and main Hug components. Attendees gained valuable insights into the core technology behind our products, understanding how we  ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance with the  strictest environmental regulations.

After a lunch break, the training continued with the second part of the R&D session, further exploring key engineering concepts and innovations that drive Hug Engineering’s solutions forward. This in-depth look into product development and technology provided our new hires with a solid technical foundation.

More Than Just Training: Building Connections

While the primary goal of the Global Training Days was to educate and inform, it was also an opportunity for new employees to build relationships across departments and locations. Throughout the two days, participants engaged in discussions, shared experiences, and exchanged ideas - strengthening the sense of teamwork that defines Hug Engineering.

Welcome aboard to all our new team members—your journey with Hug Engineering is just beginning!

As we continue to expand, more great opportunities will be available - keep an eye on our careers!
