KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Development and programming with B&R Automation Studio
- Design of control cabinet components for Machine controls
- Design of software concepts and modules
- Software development and function test in-house or directly on site
- Administration and further development of our cloud solutions
- Project specific software adaptation
- Evaluate hardware components
- First level support for field technicians and application engineers
- Creation and implementation of remote access and database concepts
- Creating and preparing Virtual Machines (VM)
- Preparation and execution of internal trainings
YOUR PROFILE
- Successfully completed higher education or further training in a specialised field as automation engineer, electrical engineer, software engineer or comparable with at least 5 years of professional experience
- Experience in the design of control cabinet components for machine controls as well as knowledge of standards and guidelines in control engineering
- Experience in the development and programming of complex machine controls and new product development / project management
- Profound knowledge of PLC development environments (preferably B&R Automation Studio) and in electrical CAD (preferably EPLAN P8)
- Knowledge of modern control programming in ST, C, C++
- Knowledge in network technology and with modular software structures
- Knowledge of communication interfaces CAN, TCP, OPC-UA as well as control and process engineering knowledge
- Ideally knowledge of software management systems (preferably SVN and GIT) and virtual machines
- Motivated to engage and evolve with cloud solutions in the future
- Confident communication skills (written, verbal) in German and English
- Flexibility and ability to work in a team
- International thinking and motivated to work in a global environment
- Willingness to travel occasionally (5 - 10%)
