KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Plan and execute FATs (Factory Acceptance Test) and supplier audits
  • Development of metal work / steel / welding construction local supplier portfolio
  • Experience in reading technical drawings and measuring components - identifying deviations
  • Carry out visual examination on welded components
  • Act as lesion between suppliers and HUG organization (R&D, PM) to align on technical topics
  • Ensures the quality documentation is prepared by suppliers in a timely manner
  • Manage Hug purchasing activities for assigned projects – main focus steel welding constructions 
  • Ability to negotiate purchase orders and contracts with suppliers
  • Manage production slots and act as solid business partner with key stakeholders

YOUR PROFILE

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) or Certified Welding Engineer (CWENG) or Certified Welding Supervisor (CWS) expert in metal joining technologies
  • Minimum 3 years of working experience purchasing in an industrial environment
  • Basic knowledge of Quality Management Systems
  • Ability to work in a global environment alongside or within multicultural teams
  • Positive mindset and customer focus
  • Solution oriented with strong attention to detail
  • High degree of independence and reliability
  • Willingness to travel at least 50% nationally (driven by project needs)
  • Fluent in English, additional languages are a plus
