YOUR KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • PLC programming
  • Design of software structure and conceptualization of software modules
  • Development and programming of process control/monitoring functionalities and visualization thereof
  • Use of software management systems (e.g. GIT)
  • Assessment of hardware components in relation to their control/monitoring strategy
  • Direct contact with internal/external stakeholders as  technical expert for automation topics
  • Support for field technicians and application engineers, both remote and on-site
  • Preparation of internal and official documentation


YOUR PROFILE:

  • Successfully completed higher education in the field of automation, system engineering or similar
  • Advanced knowledge of at least one PLC programming environment, with application in machine controls, knowledge of basic programming languages (ST, C) and experience with object oriented programming
  • At least 5 years of experience with relevant applications in professional environments
  • Good overall understanding of mechanical and process engineering, willingness to get involved with commissioning of systems and support on-field activities
  • Availability and flexibility to travel up to 15% of the time
  • Ability to collaborate in cross-disciplinary teams and ease to deal with cross-disciplinary tasks
  • Fluent in English

Additional highly-evaluated qualifications:

  • Previous experience with the following PLC programming environments: Codesys, B&R Automation Studio
  • Experience in direct contact with the customer as technical expert
  • Basic knowledge or interest in product management
  • Fluent in German
