Effective from February 1, 2022, Dr. Markus THOENNES has been appointed as new Chief Executive Officer of Swiss exhaust gas purification specialist Hug Engineering AG, a Faurecia company.

Dr. Markus THOENNES holds a PhD in Automotive Engineering and an MBA in Strategy, Finance & Accounting. He started his career in the automotive sector. Markus brings a track record in consulting, business development, innovation, project management and leadership. He joined Faurecia in July 2020 as General Manager for the Zero Emission Business Incubator within Faurecia Clean Mobility. In this role, he successfully led the expansion of Faurecia's portfolio towards new hydrogen and battery products.
