Hug Engineering, specialist in exhaust gas purification, has announced that the closing of the takeover by French Faurecia has successfully taken place effective from March 1st, 2018.

With this transaction, Hug Engineering will complement Faurecia’s clean mobility business unit with exhaust gas aftertreatment products for high horsepower engines. Faurecia is a global leader in clean mobility in the automotive industry.

The combination of Faurecia’s global reach and world leading innovative systems for commercial vehicles with Hug Engineering’s systems expertise will facilitate the future growth rapidly in the high horsepower market, as regulations come into force.

High horsepower engines are used in marine propulsion, power generation, rail and agricultural applications and other industries.
