Solutions for low-emission shipping - Hug MARINE CONFERENCE

Marine

For the third time in a row, Hug Engineering, a Faurecia company, is organizing the Marine Conference, which will take place on 21 February 2019 in the Swissôtel in Bremen.

The aim of this conference is to present the state of the art and future solutions for low-emission shipping. A total of 150 invited guests from the fields of engine construction and development, ship-building and ship design as well as renowned institutes, authorities and shipping companies will be attending this year’s conference. In addition to experts from Hug Engineering, experienced experts from the naval sector could be won as speakers for the Marine Conference.

Background: In order to address climate issues and needs for depollution in the marine sector, specifically NOx emissions, there is an increasing demand on the market for efficient and innovative aftertreatment-systems. These are able to control NOx emissions from sea and inland vessels and are vitally important in meeting the increasing legislative measures put in place to restrict these emissions.

As a leading specialist in nitrogen oxide and soot reduction, our highly qualified international team has gained the greatest experience with these technologies worldwide in recent years. We want to become ambassadors for these technologies in the marine sector and continue to work with the maritime industry to develop sustain-able, economic and ecological solutions for reducing emissions.
