Hug Engineering to deliver 35 Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) systems for Diesel gensets in the Asia Pacific region, reaching the strictest emissions levels.

Stroomopwekking

Across the Asia Pacific countries, over 670 companies have set emissions reduction targets via the Climate Disclosure Program and Science Based Targets initiatives. Companies’ commitment to reach the lowest emissions from business operation has become a key element to operate and is accelerating.

Hug Engineering has recently been awarded a contract to supply exhaust aftertreatment facilities for a new power plant located in the Asia Pacific area. To reach the strictest emission levels, 35 SCR will equip high-speed Diesel engines running on ultra-low sulfur Diesel (ULSD).

Engines fueled with ULSD, in combination with exhaust aftertreatments, can reduce drastically the amount of Sulphur Oxides (SOx) and Nitrogen Oxides (NOx) emitted during operation. The targeted NOx abatement for this application is in excess of 90%.

Our best-in-class SCR will be packaged in a single-lift skid, to shorten installation at site, and will secure the fulfillment the emissions abetment performances required by all the different environmental regulations applicable worldwide.
The skid design can straightforwardly be scaled-up so to cover the entire power range of Diesel engines up to circa 5MW.
For this complex project, the purchase order has been signed during the 3rd quarter of 2022, and the equipment is to be delivered in about 16 weeks, while start-up is targeted for the first semester of 2023.
