Hug Engineering booth at Europort Rotterdam showcasing marine exhaust aftertreatment systems for workboats

Hug Engineering at Europort 2025: Clean Power Solutions for the Workboat Industry

Scheepvaart

Every second year, Europort in Rotterdam brings together the global maritime community to explore the latest innovations in shipbuilding and propulsion. The 2025 edition takes place 4–7 November at Rotterdam Ahoy - and Hug Engineering will once again be there, presenting its advanced marine exhaust aftertreatment systems for the workboat industry.

As a proud member of the Netherlands Maritime Technology (NMT) Association, Hug will exhibit as part of the Dutch Pavilion, continuing a long-standing tradition of collaboration within the European maritime cluster. You can find us at Booth 1111.

Key Benefits of Hug Marine Systems

  • Flexible Compliance, Smart Savings
Meet IMO Tier III limits - or go beyond - using our SCR and DPF systems that turn Tier II engines into fully compliant solutions without the cost of a new IMO III engine.

  • Compact Modular Design
Space-optimised layouts and modular construction ensure seamless integration into even the tightest engine rooms, for both newbuilds and retrofits.

  • Switchable Operation Mode
Operate efficiently inside and outside ECAs with systems that can be deactivated when not required - reducing urea consumption and preserving bunker space.

  • Built for Future Fuels
Ready for methanol, LNG, ammonia, and hydrogen engines - supporting shipyards and operators preparing for the energy transition.

  • Low Lifecycle Costs & Long Service Intervals
Catalysts lasting up to 20 000 operating hours, extended maintenance intervals, and easy-access components mean more uptime and lower OPEX.

  • Certified and Proven
Fully approved by leading classification societies (DNV, BV, ABS, LR, RINA) and backed by decades of marine project experience with OEMs like Scania, Cummins, MTU, and ABC.

These systems are backed by Hug’s decades of engineering expertise and proven performance across thousands of projects worldwide. For a deeper insight, explore our related article:
